Main Facilities—Piping & Steel Fitting Fabrication
Piping & Steel outfitting fabrication factory undertakes all of fabrication work of piping and outfitting for ship repair, shipbuilding and offshore projects, it occupies the area of approx 26,000m 2 and has the total production equipments over 350 sets. The factory has annual production ability of 8,000 tons (approx 200,000 pcs) for piping fabrication and more than 2,000 tons for steel outfitting.FactoryMain Facilitiesâ€”Steel Treatment Workshop SHGSIC has steel treatment workshops, the daily productivity for steel treatment is about 1,000 tons, SHGSIC has all kinds of equipments for steel cutting, beveling, welding, pressing, casting, heat treatment and other processing facilities with 3000 sets in total.

Ilker is an exceptional individual who combines exceptional technical knowledge with applied hands on engineering. We worked together in 2012 for 10 days in Istanbul in preparation for the trans-atlantic launch and transport of a specialized heavy lift barge which included structural steel bracing and supports on the MW Hawk Cargo Vessel. Ilker was proficient in steel detailing, design, ship architecture and construction. I would welcome the opportunity to work with Ilker again.
In April/May 2013, SKW, a joint venture of Skanska, Kiewit and Weeks Marine, worked with A. Riza Kinay Shipping Agencies & Trading SA to move a heavy construction marine barge via heavy lift ship from Istanbul, Turkey to Norfolk, Virginia, USA. I had the pleasure of working with Ilker to strengthen the barge per the naval architect’s design requirements. Because of demurrage concerns, the work schedule was extremely compressed. The work access was difficult. We successful worked through design issues, and loaded out quickly and without any incidents. I would recommend Ilker for structural steel installation/project management in the Istanbul area.
